New High-Speed Internet Health Information Network to Connect State’s Urban, Rural Health Care Providers

The Colorado Telehealth Network – a collaborative communication networking project between the Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council and the Colorado Hospital Association – has selected Qwest to manage the proposed high-speed ethernet network that will connect healthcare providers state-wide. This network will mean a great improvement to the communication and technical capacities of rural communities across the state, and is designed to facilitate better healthcare delivery through applications like telemedicine and health information exchange.
