membership

Since 1967, the Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council (CBHC) has served as the statewide membership association for Colorado’s network of community behavioral health providers. CBHC members are the backbone of Colorado’s behavioral health safety net. They serve Coloradans in every county across the state with community-based services that promote well-being and good health across populations, and that are tailored to the unique needs of each community.

CBHC members include:

16 Community Mental Health Centers

Community mental health centers (CMHCs) provide a wide variety of services to Coloradans living with mental illness and/or substance use disorders. CMHCs partner with the state to deliver behavioral health services.

The CMHCs also work closely with the law enforcement, judicial, education, and public health systems to ensure access to care for anyone living with a mental health or substance use disorder. Through education, referrals, and linkages with schools, public agencies, businesses, and other non-profit organizations, the CMHCs ensure that effective, high-quality behavioral health services are accessible to all Coloradans across the state. CMHCs hold the value that all individuals deserve access to necessary services where they live, work, and grow.
