Be a Champion for Behavioral Health!
Join CBHC staff and lobbyists and your CMHC colleagues from around the state at the Colorado State Capitol Tuesday, January 28, to advocate for Colorado’s community mental health centers.
After complimentary breakfast and our policy academy at the Warwick Hotel, take a short walk to the Capitol to observe the legislative process firsthand, meet with your legislators and demonstrate the power of community mental health centers.
We’ll end the day back at the Warwick with a networking reception to give you more time to connect with your legislators.
Timeline of Events
7:00am – 7:30am | Check-In and Breakfast at the Warwick Capitol Ballroom |
7:30am – 8:45am | Breakfast and Policy Academy |
8:45am – 9:00am | Brief Walk to the Capitol |
9:00am – 9:30am | 9:00am: (TBD); ask your legislator to bring you onto the floor if possible, otherwise, watch from gallery |
9:30am – 5:00pm | Meet with Your Legislators – Invite Them to Lunch! |
5:00pm – 7:00pm | Networking Reception at the Warwick Millennium Ballroom |

Registration
Each year, CBHC invites our member organizations to attend our Day at the Capitol. The purpose of this event is to learn about CBHC’s legislative priorities for the current session via our policy academy in the morning, visit with legislators and share our policy platform in the afternoon, and attend an evening networking reception to mingle with legislators and other CBHC members.
