CBHC Welcomes Crossroads’ Turning Points as First Essential Provider Member, Marking Historic Expansion of Colorado’s Behavioral Health Safety Net Association

DENVER, Colo. — June 1, 2026 — The Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council (CBHC) today announced that Crossroads’ Turning Points, Inc. has officially joined the association as the first organization admitted under CBHC’s Essential Provider & Safety Net Partner membership category. 

The milestone marks a historic moment in the Council’s nearly 60-year history and reflects its ongoing evolution as the statewide voice of Colorado’s behavioral health safety net. Through its Essential Provider & Safety Net Partner membership category, CBHC is bringing together the organizations that communities rely upon to deliver behavioral health services, strengthen local systems of care, and ensure access to treatment and recovery supports across Colorado. 

Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Pueblo, Crossroads’ Turning Points provides a broad continuum of behavioral health and substance use disorder services, including outpatient treatment, residential treatment, withdrawal management, recovery support services, prevention programming, competency restoration services, and community-based recovery programs. The organization serves communities across southern Colorado and provides several services with statewide reach.

Crossroads joins CBHC at a pivotal time for Colorado’s behavioral health system, as providers, policymakers, and communities work together to strengthen access to care, modernize financing structures, and advance the long-term sustainability of the behavioral health safety net. The addition of Crossroads reflects CBHC’s commitment to building a strong, provider-led coalition capable of addressing the evolving needs of Colorado communities while advancing policies that support access, quality, and system stability.
