On July 27th, Governor Polis took time out of his busy schedule to meet with some of the staff working at the #BoulderStrong Resource Center. The center was quickly assembled to help those affected by the mass shooting at the King Soopers in the Table Mesa Plaza in Boulder on March 22, 2021. Co-CEO of Mental Health Partners, Dixie Casford, gave the Governor a tour of the facility and explained how it has been a tremendous blessing to the community. He also took time to listen to staff from Mental Health Partners, King Soopers, and other members of the community to hear how the center has benefited the community.
The site, located at 2935 Baseline, Boulder, CO 80303, is a supportive place that provides healing and hope. The center is staffed by knowledgeable, compassionate and caring professionals, including therapists provided by Mental Health Partners. The center encourages victims, families, first responders and the Boulder community to seek support when coping with psychological and emotional effects associated with the Table Mesa King Soopers incident.
No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are encouraged and welcomed! For more information about the #BoulderStrong Resource Center, visit www.weareboulderstrong.com or call (303) 217-0120.
