Time to Implement!
The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) has announced that they have completed the final requirements to begin enrolling eligible clients into the Accountable Care Collaborative (ACC): Medicare-Medicaid Program. The program will integrate and coordinate physical, behavioral and social health needs for over 50,000 full-benefit Medicare-Medicaid clients. The first group of clients will begin receiving enrollment notices at the end of this month and the program will begin on September 1st, 2014.
Full benefit Medicare-Medicaid enrollees that are not already participating in an integrated system of care will be passively enrolled in the program and are able to opt-out of the program if they wish. Clients who participate in this program keep all their Medicare and Medicaid benefits and services and now have free assistance to achieve their health care goals and make Medicare and Medicaid work better together for them. Clients have the right to keep all their current benefits and the same doctors.
Thank You!!
The Medicare-Medicaid program is the product of years of planning, preparation, and hard work. HCPF would like to thank every individual and organization has supported the efforts throughout the development and implementation of the program– “we would not be here without you”. They continue to encourage participation in the regular stakeholders meetings to let them know how the program is working for clients.
