Resources & Support for Individuals Impacted by the Canterbury Mobile Home Park Shooting in Colorado Springs

CBHC is devastated by the news of yet another mass shooting taking place in our state, this time at a birthday party. Six innocent lives were lost at the Canterbury Mobile Home Park in Colorado Springs on the evening of Saturday, May 8th.

As the families and friends of the victims mourn, along with their neighbors, we know that this tragedy affects many more within the community and across our state.

Diversus Health, the community mental health center in Colorado Springs, has opened their doors to anyone experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, or fear at this time.

Over this past weekend, we were shocked and saddened by the shooting that occurred at Canterbury Mobile Home Park, which claimed seven lives. This type of senseless violence can have a profound impact on those living in the community, as well as our broader community, both immediately and into the future.

Diversus Health has been a community partner for over 140 years, and we are here to support the mental health needs of anyone that has been impacted by this tragic event. We are immediately deploying our Crisis Counseling Program Team to the Canterbury Mobile Home Park to offer mental health supports. Our team will be located at the Clubhouse on the property at 3020 S. Powers Blvd. This team can also be reached directly for support at 719-299-2996 and can also assist in setting up telehealth services.

• Additionally, our 24-hour/7-days-a-week Walk-In Crisis Center is available as a resource for those who may need it during this difficult time. It is located at 115 S. Parkside Drive in Colorado Springs. We are able to see you in-person or through telehealth services.
