2014 Bridging the Divide: Suicide Awareness and Prevention Summit
May 6-7, 2014
Regis University Lowell Campus (3333 Regis Blvd., Denver)

Join the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Colorado (SPCC) for the 2014 Bridging the Divide: Suicide Awareness and Prevention Summit on May 6-7, 2014 at the Regis University Lowell Campus in Denver, where we will explore the theme of Upstream, Downstream: Navigating the Waters of Suicide Prevention, Intervention and Grief Support. This state-wide conference, co-hosted by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s Office of Suicide Prevention, will explore ways to prevent suicide by increasing awareness and focusing on a time continuum from prevention to postvention.

Breakout sessions at the 2014 Bridging the Divide Summit examine the role of interventions that may affect the likelihood of suicide from early in the life cycle to aftercare for survivors and community members through our Prevention, Intervention and Postvention/Survivor Support tracks.

Why Participate?
Sally Spencer-Thomas, ‎CEO & Co-Founder at Carson J Spencer Foundation, foresees this year’s meeting to be the best yet. “This year’s conference line up brings exceptional national experts and dynamic speakers to Colorado. The diverse topics and interactive workshops will be highly engaging to attendees. Conference participants will definitely benefit from the relevant and practical knowledge and skills they will take away from this experience.”

Attending the Bridging the Divide Summit is an opportunity to build your professional and personal network as well as learn, reflect, and engage with colleagues. When you make the commitment to attend BtD 2014, you become an active participant in community dialogue—entrenched in an environment removed from the day-to-day pressures of everyday life. This valuable professional and personal experience directly benefits you through an infusion of fresh energy and ideas along with validation of current practices.
