Be a Champion for Behavioral Health!

Join CBHC staff and lobbyists and your CMHC colleagues from around the state at the Colorado State Capitol Tuesday, January 27, to advocate for Colorado’s community mental health centers.

After complimentary breakfast and a policy academy refresher at Colorado's Health Capitol, take a short walk to the Capitol to observe the legislative process firsthand, meet with your legislators and demonstrate the power of community mental health centers.

We’ll end the day at the Warwick with a networking reception to give you more time to connect with your legislators.

 

7:30am - 8:00am Check-in and Breakfast at Colorado's Health Capitol
8:00am - 8:40am Welcoming Remarks/Policy Academy Refresher & Pep Talk from Legislator
8:40am - 9:00am Walk to Capitol & Gather in the House of Representatives Gallery/Senate Gallery 
9:00am - 9:30am [Tribute on the House/Senate Floor]; ask your legislator to bring you onto the floor if possible
9:30am - 5:00pm Meet with Your Legislators - Invite Them to Lunch!
5:00pm - 7:00pm Networking Reception at the Warwick Millennium Ballroom

 

Each year, CBHC invites member organizations to participate in our Day at the Capitol, a full day dedicated to legislative engagement and advocacy. Attendees begin with a morning Policy Academy Refresher to learn about CBHC’s legislative priorities for the current session, spend the afternoon visiting with legislators to share our policy platform, and conclude with an evening networking reception to connect with lawmakers and fellow CBHC members.
