Depression in Teenagers: Experts Say to Screen All

"About half of all mental illnesses arise by age 14. A new guideline asks pediatricians to be on alert." 

This article from the U.S. News and World Report, by Lindsay Lyon, draws further attention to a newly highlighted importance on screening youths between 12 and 18 for signs of mental illness, after increasing evidence demonstrates the utility in doing so.
