Each year, Envision:You, a Colorado non-profit dedicated to advancing behavioral health care for the LGBTQ+ community, celebrates an organization and an individual who have shown dedication to improving behavioral health outcomes for LGBTQ+ Coloradans.
This year, Diversus Health, a Community Mental Health Center based in Park, El Paso, and Teller Counties, received this prestigious award due to their actions after the Club Q shooting in Colorado Springs.
Not only did Diversus compile resources for those affected by the tragedy, but they also offered free care to those directly affected by the shooting. “We are still open to anyone who was impacted by that event to come receive care with us, no questions asked,” Adam Roberts, president and CEO of Diversus Health told Out Front Magazine in an interview about the award. Diversus will be presented with the Lean on Me Award at Envision:You’s annual Garden Party on May 20, 2023. You can purchase tickets for the event HERE.
